ABOUT YOUR COUNSELOR

Brooke A. Stengel possesses an exceptional understanding of all aspects of the college admissions process from a career in the fields of college admissions and college counseling spanning more than 25 years.

Her wealth of experience stems from her work on both the high school and college sides of the admissions process. She served as Director of College Counseling at the Lycée Français de New York and later as Director of College Counseling at College Coach. She has also worked as an admissions officer at both Columbia University and Barnard College, and as an application evaluator at Princeton University and Bryn Mawr College. She is a co-author of "The New Rules of College Admissions" (Simon & Schuster, 2006).

Brooke believes that applying to college is about finding the best match for each individual. She enjoys helping students determine what they hope to gain from their college experiences, identifying institutions that fit their preferences, and helping them present themselves effectively through their essays and applications.

Brooke holds a master’s degree with a specialization in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College.
